People who apply for Australian visas now have more choices in English language testing since the addition of two new assessment options, said Assistant Minister for Immigration and Border Protection on Monday.Applicants that apply for several types of visas, including temporary graduate, skilled, work and holiday, and former resident visa will now benefited from the changes”Applicants are now able to use scores from the Test of English Language as a Foreign Language internet-based test (TOEFL iBT) and the Pearson Test of English Academic (PTE Academic) as evidence of their English language ability,” Senator Cash emphasized.”This development affords applicants more choice in providers while also increasing competition within the English language testing market.”These two new assessment options, which have already been accepted in the Student visa programme since 2011, are alternatives to the International English Language Testing System (IELTS) and Occupational English Advanced (CAE).Senator Cash also confirmed plans to further expand the English language test market on track with Cambridge Eng/lish: Advance (CAE) test scores are set to be accepted from the start of the New Year.If you are interested in Australian visas, contact Migration Intelligence for information and advice on which visa is best suited to you.
